As a fan of Ez Sez, I must say that this is one of the least inspired quickies I've read from you. Think about it some more and you'll realise that the two are absolutely different from one another and I can only hope that time will prove me wrong. Obama is at best the kennedy of our generation but worlds apart from Lennon, in fact maybe closer to Lenin. We'll see.
Thanks for your comments and Ez Sez readership always!
Time will tell ultimately, but I've got to say, I've been reading a bunch of Obama's older writings, hearing/seeing his new stuff and listening to a few John Lennon CDs I hadn't heard in quite a while and the connection flashed. It was hard to ignore. That's where this inspiration came from. Sure, a lot of people preferred McCartney and a lot of people preferred Bush, but to my mind, in Obama and Lennon we seem to have two intelligent, hopeful, inspiring and spirited people who bring on change and action.
Again, thanks for being an Ez Sez reader and participator. That's great stuff.
